A background of what to do and see in Suffolk
We do hope that we can give you a flavour of some of the attractions to be found which are generally within one hour’s driving from Kersey. Many will wish to enjoy walking and we’ve illustrated three local walks starting from the village.
There are strictly two regions, East and West Suffolk, the former is well known for its flatter, light heath land (‘The Sandlings’) and coast, whilst the West has gently rolling valleys with perhaps the Stour Valley being best known to many as ‘Constable Country’. Kersey is just inside the western region and very close to the Stour Valley. You’ll perhaps notice the changing dialects as you travel around the county and Suffolk has been fortunate in having retained a lot of these native accents.
